Abstract
Coronary artery fistula (CAF) is an unusual condition where a communication exists between a coronary artery and a cardiac chamber. Acquired CAF is rare and occurs in traumatic, neoplastic, or atherosclerotic coronary disease. Myocardial infarction in cases o f coronary artery fistula is rare. We report here on a 74-year-old male who had a fistula, possibly acquired, from the left anterior descending coronary arteries to the left ventricle through the site o f an old myocardial infarction. The area o f communication corresponded to the site o f infarction, as established by echocardiography and computed tomography.
